Pulsar is Tiny Planet's compact AWD adventure van, built on a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 with a 144″ wheelbase. It brings the residential kitchen, lithium power and climate systems of our larger vans into a shorter body with a tighter turning circle, built to go where larger vans cannot. Pulsar comes in a Shower layout and a Crew layout and starts at $229,000.
Both layouts use the same 144″ platform and the same package options. The Shower layout has a fully enclosed indoor shower and a dedicated workstation. The Crew layout adds a second-row swivel-to-bed seat that turns into a 30″ single bed, so you can bring family or friends along; it has no enclosed indoor shower. Both layouts have a Tiny by Separett waterless toilet and a hot and cold outdoor shower. Pulsar Max is available in the Crew layout.
In both layouts the dinette table lowers to turn the dinette into a queen-size bed with a 4″ two-layer memory foam mattress. Flares widen the van to 79.5″, so people over 6′3″ can sleep across it. In the Crew layout, the swivel-to-bed seat behind the driver adds a 30″ single bed for a third sleeper. Pulsar Max, in the Crew layout, adds a Lippert motorized lift bed and a pop-up rooftop tent and sleeps up to 7.
Yes. Pulsar is built on a Sprinter 2500 AWD, so all four wheels are driven on gravel, sand, mud and snow. The 144″ wheelbase gives a tighter turning circle and a better break-over angle for switchbacks, tight trailheads and uneven ground, and it is easier to maneuver and park in town than a 170″ van. Upgraded suspension and added ground clearance handle washboard roads and deep ruts. Expedition and Max add Owl & Falcon 3.0 suspension and BFGoodrich KO3 tires on 17″ wheels.
Pulsar has a residential 45″ galley with an acrylic stone countertop, an induction cooktop, a 12V fridge and an undermount sink. A dishwasher (not for use in motion) and a microwave, convection oven and air fryer are available as options. The Shower layout adds an enclosed indoor shower with a retractable sliding door. Every Pulsar has a Tiny by Separett waterless toilet on a sliding shelf, a hot and cold outdoor shower and 35 gallons of fresh and 20 gallons of grey water.
Pulsar uses the same off-grid systems as our larger vans. Essential has a 460Ah lithium battery, 600W of solar and a diesel air heater. Expedition and Max have a 920Ah battery (12 kWh), about 5 to 7 days off-grid, plus 100A charging while driving, hydronic heating, heated floors and winter-ready plumbing. A 1380Ah battery (18 kWh) is available for about 8 to 10 days. The 12V air conditioner runs from the batteries, so you do not need a generator or a hookup.
Pulsar Essential starts at $229,000, Expedition at $290,000 and Max at $328,000, all including the 144″ AWD Sprinter.
